Seville is the fourth largest city in Spain. It is the financial, cultural and commercial city capital of Andalusia.
It’s thought that Seville was founded by Tartessos (the Turdetans or Turdetani) by the century IX BC and they called it Spal. It owns one of the largest, oldest and best kept old towns in Europe, where we can track down the vast legacy of its large number of architectonical styles from the Arabic times in the Middle Ages till the Renaissance and Baroque, in the XV and XVI, when the city was boasting of being the Capital City of the Spanish Empire
According to the figures published by INE, The Spanish National Stats Think-Tank, Seville has a population of 751.184 inhabitants. 2024 July 1. Over 1 million and five hundred thousand including its metro area.
